About WhyDoGEO
WhyDoGEO’s purpose, source standards, editorial boundaries and AI-assisted drafting and translation policy.
WhyDoGEO is an independent educational website for site owners, marketers and founders who want to understand GEO and AI search. It explains the terminology, technical foundations and evidence needed to make practical decisions. It does not sell a ranking system or promise that an AI product will cite a website.
Evidence and editorial boundaries
Platform claims are checked against current official documentation and linked beside the explanation they support. Google’s guidance describes Google’s products; it is not treated as a universal algorithm. Examples are labeled hypothetical. There are no invented experiments, customers, testimonials, traffic results, expert credentials or platform affiliations.
WhyDoGEO is the publishing organization. No individual author identity or professional qualification is fabricated. Source checks are dated so readers can distinguish the documentation reviewed from an unchanging guarantee. Platforms can change; an earlier source check does not establish future behavior.
Drafting and translations
English is the authoritative editorial baseline. Drafting and translation use AI assistance. All thirteen editions aim to preserve the explanation, examples, negative statements and uncertainty of that baseline. No native-speaker review or independent expert review is claimed. Structural checks are useful for completeness; they do not certify linguistic nuance or factual expertise.
How to use the site
Begin with the definition guide, use the glossary for unfamiliar terms, and apply the checklist to your own pages. Follow the primary sources when a provider-specific decision matters. Treat a completed task, an observed citation and a business result as separate evidence. The site provides education, not a promise about any platform’s decisions.
